Over the years, the production of white wine with a mixture of red and white grape varieties has been the main factor to characterize the differential elements in Cigales rosé wines, taking into account the way these varieties have adjusted to our soil, climate and cultural practices.

Over the years, other trials have been carried out in collaboration with the Castile and Leon Enological Station, and the conclusion has been reached that by producing wine with ideal proportions of white varieties (Albillo, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc) mixed with red varieties (Tempranillo, Garnacha and Merlot), the rosé wine obtained is typical of Cigales, but also meets the expectations that the current market demands for colour, aromas and flavour.

Since 1985, the vineyard has been gradually reconverted, which has lead to plantations with varieties in appropriate proportions to produce rosé wines but also to be able to carry out trials with red wines.

The results obtained with red grape varieties, such as Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, both for young red wines and Crianzas and Reservas, have fulfilled the prospective expectations. As a result of this, in 1994 the first Reserva 1991 of the Cigales D.O came onto the market.

In the following years, as the age of our vineyards increases, the quality of our Crianzas will move up positions in the market.

Complex pink, from strawberry pink to cherry pink. In very young wines with an abundance of Tempranillo or Tinto Fino grape varieties, violet hues appear in the fine layer. Important, sharp primary aromas of green fruit, others with aromas of riper fruit.

Abundant secondary aromas, characteristic of the fermentation and intrinsic of the wine, with a delicate, persistent vinosity in time.

Smooth and light, brief and somewhat warm. With very varied flavours and a great balance of alcohol and extract.

Differentiating characteristics: given the mixture of varieties used in its production it is an unbeatable product
